Obituary of Robert D. Purtell

Robert D. Purtell Robert D. Purtell, 38, passed away on April 26, 2015. He is preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Virginia (Lee) Steen and Charles Purtell; maternal grandparents, Clifford and Helen Bennett. Bob is survived by his father, Larry (Debbie) Purtell; mother, Susan (Robert) Brown; siblings, Michael (Kathy) Buck, Walter (Kristen) Yetter, Heidi (Terry) Yetter-Jeralds; stepsiblings, Robert (Susan) Brown, Ben Nelson, Alan Nelson (Shannon Matolka), Cody Brown, and Mindy Brown; special niece, Ema-Lee Craven; special buddy, Colin Russell; 13 other nieces and nephews and several aunts and uncles. Bob graduated from Montrose High School, Class of 1995, served in the National Guard from 1994 until 2002, and was employed at the Samina Corporation for 15 years. He spent his last day doing what he loved, canoeing in Pine Creek with his siblings, Cousin Joe, and friends. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, LLC, 6519 Rte. 434, Apalachin, NY. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12 noon until the time of the service.
