Obituary of Ruth E. Rockwell

Ruth E. Rockwell, 93, went home to be with the Lord on April 26. She is predeceased by husband, Elmer (Rocky) Rockwell; mother, Mary Ashley; father; John Williams, sister, Eva Snyder; brothers: Frank, Walter, Joe, and John Williams, Gerald, Harold and Richard Simpson; her daughter, Mary Gritman and granddaughter, Faye Gritman. Ruth is also survived by her children, Barbara (Doug) Fish, Harold (Sharon) Gonyou, Ruth (Lawrence) Hillis, Martha (John) Fairbanks, Beverly Flint, Raymond Moquin and son-in-law David Gritman. Surviving siblings are: Donald Williams, Vera Cummings, Betty Wagstaff and Robert Simpson. Ruth has numerous nieces and nephews; grand-children; great-grand-child-ren and great-great grand-children and friend Eva York. Visitation will be Sat., May 23, 11:00 – 1:00; Memorial service follows at 1:00 p.m. Both will be held at Apalachin Alliance Church, 293 Tobey Rd., Apalachin. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospic or a local animal shelter.
