Obituary of Norman E. Margetson

Norman E. Margetson, 88, of Endicott, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, June 2, 2015. He was predeceased by his wife of 65 years, Phyllis (Dugan) Margetson. Norman is survived by his three sons and their families, James Margetson and Donna Gunther, John and Rose Margetson, and David and Nina Margetson; grandchildren, Cody (Shelia), April, Shauna (Corey), Cortney (Jared), Chad (Tara), Aaron; great-grandchildren, Grace, Joshua, Aiden, Evan, Ellery and Clarie; nieces, Marge (Gene) Kilburn, Marie (Neil) Zimmer and many wonderful neighbors and friends. Norman was an Army Veteran of WWII, a member of American Legion Post 1700 and a member of Whittemore Hill United Methodist Church. He loved to travel, play pool, play cards, boating and built two of his own homes in addition to helping many others with building projects. A memorial service will be held on June 10, 2015 at 11am at Whittemore Hill United Methodist Church, 1349 Whittemore Hill Rd., Owego, NY 13827. Entombment will be at 2pm at Riverhurst Cemetery, Endwell. The family will receive those wishing to pay their respects beginning at 10am till the service.
