Obituary of Elfriede Fraleigh

Elfriede "Elfy" (Zaayenga) Fraleigh, age 94, a resident of The United Methodist Homes, The Highlands, Johnson City, NY, went to be with her Lord on July 27, 2015. She was born in Hambur & Germany on Jan. 28, 1921. Elfriede was predeceased by her parents, her loving husband of 72 years, Charles Fraleigh, Jr.; and brothers, Werner and Ralph Zaayenga. Elfriede is survived by her daughter, Sandra and her husband, Robert Lynch; her sister, Carmen Fesh of Yonkers, NY, and many nieces and nephews and extended family. Elfriede enjoyed her family and friends, music, including singing in church choirs, cooking, golf and reading. "Thanks to all those in the Health Care Profession who had a hand in my care over all the years especially Karen Hazelwood, who was my companion and good friend." Burial will take place at the convenience of the family. Contributions in Elfriede Fraleigh's memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
