Obituary of Michael Craig Medionte

On September 2, 2015, heaven gained another angel, Michael C. Medionte, 32, as the Lord welcomed him home. Michael is predeceased by his maternal grandparents, John and Sophie Volock; his paternal grandparents, Frank and Louise Medionte; and an uncle, Phillip Volock. Michael is survived by the love of his life, his daughter, Liliana (Lily) Rose Medionte; his partner, Heather and her daughter, Emma Franz; his parents, Craig and Sonya Medionte; a sister and brother-in-law, Krista and Leonard Phillips; his nephews, who he adored, Benjamin and Nicholas Phillips. He is also survived by his aunts and uncles who loved him very much and will miss him dearly: Donna and Anthony DeFlippo; Larry and Val Medionte; Elayna (Robin) Volock; very special Aunt Tami and Ned Kendrick; many loving cousins: Tony and Tara (Cindy) DeFlippo; Joe (Lorraine) Medionte; Vinny (Kathy) Medionte; Jamie (Janis) Kendrick; Jeremy (Shannon) Kendrick; Jason (Lauren) Kendrick. Michael graduated from Vestal High School and SUNY-Oswego. He was a Senior Account Executive at TEQ. Michael's greatest joy in life was his beautiful daughter Lily, who he loved with all of his heart. He was looking forward to walking her to school for her first day of kindergarten. Michael excelled in all aspects of his life. He was a stellar athlete and loved to compete in wrestling, football and baseball. His contagious smile and quick wit will be missed by all who knew him. Michael had a long list of friends who he loved very much. There will be a private viewing for the immediate family. A memorial mass will be offered by Father John Kurgan and dear family friend Deacon Dale Crotsley, at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Main Street in Vestal at 10:00AM on Friday, September 11th. The family will receive friends immediately following the mass at a luncheon to celebrate Michael's life. Michael, always generous in life, will now bless the lives of many others through the donation of his organs. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to a trust fund for Lily's education at Visions Federal Credit Union, 24 McKinley Avenue, Endicott, NY, 13760. Michael - you will be missed dearly. We love you so much. "The trouble is, you think you have time."
