Obituary of Erma L. Silvernail

Erma "Happy" L. Silvernail, 94, of Endwell, went into our Heavenly Father's arms on Wednesday, October 7, 2015, with her family around her. Happy was born on March 31, 1921. She is predeceased by her parents, Henry and Florence Ketchum; her husband, Robert Silvernail; and great grandson, Zachary Moore, FL. Happy is survived by loving children, Sandra (Silvernail) Goeckel and her husband Garry, Arlington, TX; Terry Silvernail and his wife, Ann, Endicott, NY and Nancy (Silvernail) Kenhart and her husband, Jerry, Vestal, NY; grandchildren, Robert Dean Moore and his wife, Lynn, FL; Terry Moore, Arlington, TX; Diane (Moore) Corn and her husband, Michael, TX; Bridget (Silvernail) Cristelli and fiancé, Andy, Ithaca, NY; Michele (Dyer) Thorpe and her husband, Shawn, Endicott, NY; Brent Dyer and his fiancé, Renee, Endicott, NY and Erin (Silvernail) McLear and her husband, Josh, Massena, NY; several great grandchildren; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Willet (Bill) Silvernail and his wife, Carol, Toccoa Falls, GA. Erma married Bob on February 22, 1941, was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Tabernacle in Vestal and sang in their Silver Belles Senior Choir. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and loved to care for her family. She enjoyed baking and there was always something in the oven every Saturday morning. At the age of 81, she went back to work at Wal-Mart as a greeter. The family wishes to extend a huge Thank you to all of Erma's (Happy) caregivers at Willow Point Nursing Home who took exceptional care of our mother. A Funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, LLC, 765 Main St., Vestal. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow in Vestal Hills Memorial Park, Vestal.
