Obituary of Robert A. Gordon
Robert A. Gordon, Sr., 78, of Endicott, passed away, surrounded by his loving family, on October 10, 2015 after a long struggle with Alzheimer's disease. Bob is predeceased by his parents, John H. and Ruth Gordon; his son, Thomas Gordon and sister, Loretta Smith. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Jeanne; his sons, Robert A. (Kathleen) Gordon Jr, James Gordon and Gerald (Keith Daniels) Gordon; daughter, Chris (Steve) Gordon-Albright; grandsons, Robert W. (Laura) Gordon, Noah Albright and Parker Daniels; great-granddaughters, Chloe and Kaitlin; brothers, Daniel (Carol) Gordon and John M. Gordon; and many nieces and nephews. Bob, also known as "Robin" by many of his older friends, was born on June 6, 1937 and married the love of his life, Jeanne, on March 6, 1956. He attended Union Endicott High School and worked at Cadre's Industries early in his career. Bob retired from IBM-Endicott after 25 years of service. In "retirement," Bob worked for Green Acres Garden Center and he obtained his CDL and drove tractor-trailers. Bob enjoyed watching Football, NASCAR and his favorite baseball team, the NY Yankees. He loved country music and tinkering in his garage. Above all, he loved to laugh. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, LLC, 300 E. Main St., Endicott. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
