Obituary of Elfreda Delores Day

Elfreda Delores Day, 81, of Maine, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at home. She was predeceased by her husband, Bernard Day; her sister, Maxine Bunger and special sister-in-law, Marion Day. She is survived by her children, Dennis (Mary) Day, Cindy Barrett, Colleen (Stephen) Ahlquist; grandchildren; DJ (Theresa) Gosart, Nicholas (Amber) Barrett, Matthew (Nicole) Barrett, Jason & Justin Ahlquist, Tammy Goldman, Joe (Sara) Gosart; 11 great grandchildren, and one on the way; her sister, Karen Paddleford; brother-in-law, Richard (Carol) Day; sister-in-law, Barbara (Merle) McLean; several nieces, nephews and church friends. Elfreda was a member of the Endicott Community Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed traveling and always had Beau & Schnookums, her traveling companions with her. She retired from the Maine-Endwell School District after having driven school bus for 28 years. When she retired, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, at 12 noon at the Endicott Community Church of the Nazarene, 1385 Union Center Maine Highway, Endicott, NY. Burial will be in Glen Aubrey Cemetery at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends at the Church on Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.
