Obituary of Marguerite A. Perfetti

Our beloved mother Marguerite Perfetti (Colamarino) age 88 joined her Lord and Savior on Sunday November 22nd 2015. She was predeceased by her husband Vincent Perfetti and her parents Rose and John Colamarino, her brother John (Peppy) Colamarino, her godchild Ralph Pisani and his wife Barbara, her nephews John Colamarino and Tony Perfetti, her nieces, Carrie Battista and Sue King; aunt, Mabel Maruca. She is survived by her children Marilyn and Joseph Minichelli, Angela and Joseph Sementelli, Leonard and Dawne Perfetti, her grandchildren Cara Qualia (Cary), Lea Perfetti (Tarik), Jaqueline Perfetti (Tim), Joseph Sementelli, Vincent Sementelli (Elizabeth), Nicolas Perfetti and Gianna Perfetti. Great- grandchildren Natalie, Katherine, Sara, Satya, Scarlett, Zion, Julian, and Sage. She is survived by her loving sister Marie Pisani, sons Phil and Sal and their families. Brother-in-law Adolph Perfetti, nieces and nephews, Stanley and Bonnie Morlando, Carol and Roger Johnstone, Clyde Willis, Sharon and Tom Skasko, Audrey Snyder, Laurene and Kevin Glueck, Kathleen and John Lincourt, Joe and Kim Maruca and godson Joey Fanara. Marguerite was a lifelong member of Saint Anthony's Parish in Endicott and a member of the choir for over 50 years. She cantered countless weddings and funerals. She was a secular Franciscan and a past President of the George W. Johnson PTA. She was a member of the Legion of Mary and worked for the Broome County Election Board. She was also a member of the North Endicott Senior Chorus. She was a devoted Yankees and Giants fan. A special thank you to Endwell Family Physicians, especially Dr. Duncan Sze-tu and staff for their wonderful care and compassion for our mother. Heartfelt thanks to Father James Serowik and Sister Anisia Muthoni for their prayers and support. God has blessed us in our lives just knowing her. For if anyone asked "How do we follow Christ?" we need not look far, for she was a beautiful example of His work. The family will receive friends at St. Anthony of Padua Church in Endicott on Wednesday, November 25th from 10am-noon followed by a Funeral Mass. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the St. Francis Ministry in care of Sister Anisia Muthoni at St. Anthony's of Padua Parish Endicott, NY.
