Obituary of John Gilbride

John Joseph Gilbride of Vestal John Joseph Gilbride, 47, Vestal went to be with his Lord on April 20, 2009 after a long illness. John was born in Binghamton to Gloria and Joseph Gilbride. He graduated from Vestal High School and worked for R.E. Carlton Construction for many years. John was a member of the American Legion Post 89 and was an avid fisherman, hunter and horseshoe player. John is survived by his mother, Gloria Gilbride and Bobby Carlton; one brother, Joseph Gilbride, Jr.; and three sisters, Belinda McNeil and her husband, Craig, Rebecca Murphy and her husband, Robert; and Patty Gilbride. John is also survived by several nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends. The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation and thanks to the staff at Binghamton General Hospital; the dialysis unit, Charlie Gonzalez, a special friend; and a very special thank you to Dr. Ramanujan. A viewing will be held on Friday, April 24th from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, Inc., 765 Main St., Vestal.
