Obituary of Jesse R Jayne

Jesse R. Jayne of Vestal Jesse R. Jayne, 87, of Vestal, went home to be with his beloved wife, Alice on Thursday, April 16, 2009. He is survived by two nieces, Delores F. Snow, Land O Lakes, Fla. and Judith J. Jayne, also of Land O Lakes, Fla.; one great-niece, Cynthia L. Buckingham (Tim), Kingsport, Tenn.; two great-great-nieces, Dakota and Taylor Buckingham, both of Kingsport, Tenn; also several other family members. Jesse was a retired IBM employee retiring as a Model Toolmaker after 41 years of service. He was a member of the IBM Quarter Century Club and also a member of the IBM 2nd Generation Club. He was a Veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Army as a Technician 3rd Class. He was a life-time member of N.R.A. He was an avid enthusiast of gun craftsmanship and a life-time member of the National Wildlife Association. Jesse was an avid hunter and marksmen. He was a graduate of UE High School Class of 1940. A Funeral Service for Jesse will be held 11 a.m., April 27, 2009 at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, Inc., 300 East Main St., Endicott. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 10 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park. Flowers are acceptable or contributions to the charity of one's choice.
