Obituary of Shirley Hills

Shirley D. Hills, 87, of Endicott, passed away Tuesday evening, March 15, 2016, at Wilson Medical Center. She was predeceased by her parents Hazel and Vincent Youngs and brother in-law Richard Oris. She is survived by her loving husband, John A. Hills; two sons, Mark Hills of Rochester, NY and James Hills of North Syracuse, NY; five grandchildren, Josh Hills, Krystal (Ryan) Poplawski, Ryan Hills, Joel Hills, and Emily (Shaun) Hoke and four great-granddaughters; her sister, Donna Oris; and several brother and sisters in-law, nieces, and nephews. A special thank you to Doris Andrews for her kind support of the family. Shirley was born in Manhattan and moved to this area when she was a young child. She managed her family real estate company until her passing. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family. Services will be held at Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, LLC, 6519 Rt. 434, Apalachin. The family will receive friends Saturday, March 19th at noon with funeral services to follow at 1pm. Reverend Mark Kimpland, pastor of the Endwell United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Apalachin, and will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the American Heart Association .
