Obituary of Angelo Marchetti

Angelo Marchetti, 90 of Endicott passed away Saturday March 26, 2016. He was predeceased by his wife Dawn in April 2006; three brothers and seven sisters. He is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Jim and Ellen Marchetti and John Marchetti; granddaughter and her husband, Mindy and Kevin Abbott; three great-grandchildren, Callie, Abigail and Joshua Abbott all of Ovilla, TX; special niece and nephew, Lynn and Larry Roberto; several other nieces and nephews, close family friend, Judy Chandanias and other good friends too numerous to mention. Angelo was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in WWII on the USS LST. 605 as a fireman first class USNR. He also served during the Korean conflict in the US Army at the rank of Sergeant. He was a Village of Endicott Fireman and retired after 25 years of service. He was a 60 year life member of American Post 82 of Endicott holding every position from janitor to Commander. He was also a life member of Endicott VFW Post 1449. The family will receive friends at the Coleman and Daniels Funeral Home, LLC., 300 East Main Street, Endicott, Thursday from 2-5 p.m. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in his memory to the charity of one's choice.
