Dear Family,
We mourn the passing of your dad--our friend--and our minds have been going back remembering the time when your dad and mom moved to Wisconsin--Gilman--and how excited we were to have new Christian friends in our town. Your mom's love of the things I liked to do, and your dad's love of tools, mechanics, etc. struck a chord with Hilmer. We became fast friends and stayed that way during the duration of their time here. We enjoyed your dad's dry sense of humor, and we still remember him saying, "I should have worn my boots" when Hilmer cracked some kind of corny joke! We cherish these and many more memories of your family, and are sad that your mom and dad are both gone, but rejoice that they are together with the Lord. Accept our sympathy and know that if it were feasible, we would be there with you, saying "good-bye" to this man who meant a lot to us all. Blessings and may your hearts be lifted in hope.
