Obituary of Steven Huey
Steven E. Huey, 64, of Endicott NY, originally from Indianapolis IN, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on May 23 at home with his wife at his side. He was predeceased by his mother, Martha Ann Catlin Huey in 2015. Steven is survived by his wife and best friend Mary Frances Caffrey; daughters Janna Rudler and Julie Kemmerer along with their mother Marjorie Mason Huey; stepchildren Kaitlyn Rouse (Ryan), Amanda and Nicholas Pisani; grandchildren Allie Zimmermann, Madeline, Brendan, and Andrea Hoover; sister Michelle (Mickey) Ann and Martin Phillips; brother Robert (Bobby) Huey; several nieces and nephews and cousins; father Robert E Huey; beloved father in law Gerald Caffrey (Phyllis) and mother in law Kathleen Caffrey. Steven served in Udorn, Thailand in the Air Force during the Vietnam War and then worked as an air traffic controller until the PATCO strike in 1981. He worked for Universal Instruments, Broome Engineering and eventually formed his own business, Global Technology Trading, LLC. Steven enjoyed auto sports, being outdoors and spending time in Key West FL. He is remembered for his incredible work ethic, generosity, sense of humor, resiliency, and perfectionism. Steven was respected by all who knew him, loved by many, and will be greatly missed but never forgotten. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Endwell. Memorial will be private per his request. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lourdes Hospice, 4102 Old Vestal Road, Vestal, NY 13850.
