Obituary of William S. Brown

William (Bill) S. Brown, 67, of Vestal, passed away on Sunday June 12, 2016 at Lourdes Hospital. He was predeceased by his parents, Hugh & Betty Brown, and son-in-law, Armando Alvarez Valenzuela. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Carolyne Brown, and children; Charles Brown, Billie Jo (Paul) Robbins, stepchildren; Amy Sue (Donny) Light, Shawn (Becky) Waibel, grandchildren; Kevin & Matthew Robbins, Ryan & Hayley Waibel, siblings; Myron (Peg) Brown, Stanley (Linda) Brown, Patricia (Allen Oakes) Lohmeyer, Ron (Karen) Brown, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Bill retired from the State of Pennsylvania and then the Town of Owego as a Heavy Equipment Operator. He was an avid hunter, horseman and foreman at Oak Hill Corral and was on the Board of Directors at the Skyline Corral. Bill enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and was always willing to help anyone in need. He was a great friend who will be sadly missed. Funeral Services will be held at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, LLC, 765 Main St. Vestal, on Friday at 10 a.m. with the Very Rev. John R. Martinichio officiating. Burial will follow in Vestal Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to a charity of one's choice in memory of Bill.
