Obituary of Margaret D. Louden

Margaret D. Louden, 97, went home to be with Jesus, her Lord and Savior, on Saturday July 30, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family and loving husband of 78 years, Charles W. Louden. She was also predeceased by her son, Charles G. Louden and other close family members. Margaret was a long-time pianist at Central United Methodist Church, Endicott. In addition, she taught lessons to hundreds of students of all ages over the course of 70 years, also having accompanied them at various solo competitions. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Joan (Vic) Van Vestrout, grandchildren; Kathy (Darren) Mertens, Charles J. (Tracey) Louden and Chad Louden, great grandchildren; Katie, Nick, Noah and Logan Mertens, Romell Charles Louden, Leah, Danyelle, Tricia, and Steven Detreville, daughter-in-law, Cheryl Jennings. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. at Central United Methodist Church, 17 South Nanticoke Ave. Endicott. Burial will be in Riverhurst Cemetery, Endicott. The family will receive friends at the Church on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service.
