Obituary of Leonard J. Nossal

Len Nossal, 79 years old, died at Wilson Hospital on Sunday, August 28, 2016. He is survived by his loving wife, Rita, of 53 years, son Jeff and daughter-in-law Lisa Skojec of Cape Cod, daughter-in-law, Valerie Nossal, of Binghamton, NY, brother-in-law, Bill Krivyanik and wife Nancy of Florida, nephews, Bill and David Krivyanik, of Texas, in-laws, Sally Stohlman,of Florida, Catherine Horn, of Sayre, Pa, Gen and Dale Woith, of Arizona and many special nieces and nephews. Len is predeceased by his son, Joe, parents, Joe and Eva Nossal, sister, Elaine Krivyanik, a dear aunt and uncle, Helen and Orman Beers and several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. Born at Wilson Hospital, he graduated from Johnson City High School, Class of '55, he served 6 years in the Army Reserves and retired 25 years ago from IBM after 34 years of service. He spent winters in Florida and summers in New York. He was an active member of Saint Margaret Mary Church in Apalachin, NY. Len liked to hunt, golf, travel (especially to Cape Cod and Florida) and always enjoyed gatherings with family and friends. Len was a good man with a good heart, a warm and friendly smile who loved his family and friends. He will be greatly missed.A Celebration of Life Mass will be held at St. Margaret Mary Church, 1110 Pennsylvania Ave., Apalachin, on Thursday September 1, at 10 a.m. the family will receive friends at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery on Marshland Road in Apalachin immediately following.
