Obituary of Robert J. Woughter

Robert "Bob" Woughter, 56, of Vestal, NY passed away peacefully on September 13, 2016. He is predeceased by his father, Howard, and several grandparents. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Lorie (Masland). He is also survived by his mother, Shirley (Mickle) Woughter, his children Heather (Dan) Kirchheimer, Amy (Rick Yarosh) Woughter, Kristen Woughter, and several special grandchildren; and his siblings Beth (Dave) Deane, Leslie (Dave) Masland, Sarah (Keefe) Nelson, Sue (Jon) Weeks, and Richard Todd (Lynne) Woughter; as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends, too many to mention.Bob worked for Broome Developmental Center for 25 years, but his true passion was being a restauranteur and owned The Sub Factory with his wife in the Ross Corners section of Vestal. He loved visiting with his customers and enjoyed discussing sports and politics (Go Trump!). He had a passion for cooking and creating new recipes, but was especially known for his Turkey Subs and ZCBR pizza.One of Bob's greatest joys was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren (William, Robby, Tenley, and Natalie) and loved to make them laugh. Bob was able to see the humor in any situation and always had a joke ready, no matter how inappropriate.Calling hours will be Friday, September 16 at 10:00 AM followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM at Coleman & Daniels, 765 Main Street in Vestal.
