Obituary of Marie E. Canfield

Marie E. Canfield, 87, of Friendsville, PA, passed Friday, November 18, 2016. She was predeceased by her husband, Richard Canfield, parents, Lester and Millie Hotaling, brother, Richard Hotaling, sister and brother-in-law, Carole and David Cole. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law; Alan and Lesa Canfield, Rome, PA, Pat Canfield and Irene Ackley, of Vestal, grandchildren; Teri Miller and Kevin, Angela Barr, Richard and Ann Canfield, Mary Canfield, great grandchildren; Katherine,Victoria, Benjamin, Matthew and Amelia, brother-in-law, Edward and Jean Canfield, WI, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Marie was the Kitchen Manager at African Road Middle School in Vestal. She later enjoyed her retirement with Richard and loved to travel all over the country and Canada with Carole and David. She also enjoyed her flower garden, feeding the birds, crafting and sewing. Marie had a special love for her nieces; Sandy, Nancy, Gwen, Janet and Lori. She will be deeply missed and always remembered.Funeral services will be held at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, LLC, 765 Main St. Vestal, NY on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Jeffrey Aiosa officiating. Burial will follow in Vestal Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Marie can be made to a charity of one's choice .
