Obituary of Rita A. Charsky

Rita A. Charsky, 80, of Endicott, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, December 1, 2016 at her home. She was predeceased by her parents John and Ann Lenka, and her son Michael Melia. She is survived by her husband Lou Charsky, and son James Melia, daughter and son-in-law Rachel and Todd Ansi. 6 granchildren Lovissa, Asa, Nicole, Sara, Emily and Kiernan. 2 great grandchildren Janeson and Oliver. Sister and brother-in-law Pat and Rex Dockstader, Niece Cathy Dockstader. Rita was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, and a member of its Altar and Rosary Society. She was a retired employee of IBM Owego and Endicott, was a Past President of the West Corners Lioness, and was formerly employed by the George F. Johnson Library. She was a avid reader. Funeral and Interment Services will be held Tuesday at 6PM from the Coleman and Daniels Funeral Home, LLC., 300 East Main St., Endicott. Father Michael Galuppi pastor of her church will officiate. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home Tuesday from 3PM until service time at 6. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in her memory to the Memorial Fund of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 701 West Main St., Endicott, NY 13760.
