Obituary of Beverly R. Vassil
Beverly R. (Pulver) Vassil, 70, of Endicott, passed away to be with the Lord on Saturday January 28, 2017 at Good Shepherd-Fairview Home in Binghamton. She was predeceased by her parents, Benjamin and Ruth Pulver. She is survived by her loving husband, John Vassil, children; Kimberly (Golan) Shem-Tov, Tammy (Harry Park) Patak, Jay (Beth) Vassil, grandchildren; Emma Shem-Tov, Danielle, Nicole and Kaitlyn Patak, Leah and Matthew Vassil, her cat, Mac, brother, Dale(Barbara) Pulver, her best friend, MaryAnn (Ed) Girvan, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Beverly was born in Scranton, PA on July 21, 1946. She married John and they have been together almost 52 years. She was a stay-at-home mom and babysitter for many years, then worked outside the home and retired from Willow Point Nursing Home after 20 years of service. She enjoyed cooking, baking, camping, spending time with her grandchildren, and in recent years, online shopping. Beverly was an active member for many years at Wesley United Methodist Church in West Corners. The family would like to express our deepest appreciation to the staff of the Rehab Unit at Good Shepherd-Fairview Home in Binghamton, and for the guidance and support of Cathy Dooley. The family will receive friends at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, LLC, 300 East Main St. Endicott, on Saturday, February 4th, from 6 to 8 p.m. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 5th, at 2 p.m. at the Wesley United Methodist Church, 1000 Day Hollow Rd. Endicott, NY and a luncheon immediately following.
