Obituary of Barbara E Gibson

Barbara (Bobbie) Stephens Gibson of Apalachin NY passed away January 31, 2017 at home surrounded by her loving children. She was born May 10, 1921 to Howard and Emily Stephens of South Apalachin. Barbara is predeceased by her husband of 54 years Harry C. Gibson who passed away January 31, 1996. Also her brothers, H. Gerald and William J. Stephens sister-in-law E. Joy Stephens and granddaughter Traci Gibson. She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law's, Hoot and Carol Gibson of Vestal, John and Barbara Gibson of Apalachin and Bill and Annette Gibson of Apalachin. Daughters Sally and John Donner of Alexandria Va. and Nancy Gibson of Apalachin. Also Twelve grandchildren, Twenty one great grandchildren and one on the way and Twelve great great grandchildren . She is also survived by her brothers Albert (Bud) Stephens, Dave and Dede Stephens and sister-in-law Joann Stephens also several nieces and nephews. She was the matriarch of the family and loved family reunions, Sunday morning meetings and the many visits with her children and grandchildren and their families. She had a green thumb and enjoyed messing with her plants and flowers. She was a homemaker and also worked at Riverview Manor Nursing home where she retired after 21 years of service. The family would like to thank Dr. Susan Choi, the staff at Lourdes at Home and Lourdes Hospice for their kind compassionate care. Memorial Services will be held at Coleman and Daniels Funeral Home LLC. 6519 State Rt. 434 Apalachin NY on Saturday at 12PM. The Rev.
