Obituary of Marilyn A Rennie
Marilyn Rennie (Hoyt) was called home by her Lord and Savior on February 24, 2017, surrounded by family members. For the last five years she resided with her daughter and family in Clinton Corners, NY, but was formerly of Endicott, NY where she was born and raised. Preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Matthew F. Rennie, Jr., parents Basil and Hildred Hoyt, and son in law Eric Holmgren. Survivors include her children, Steven (Rhonda), Beth Holmgren, Lou Ann Crist (Paul), Elaine Rennie, Janice Leitem (Paul), Susan Rennie, Matthew Rennie (Heather). Also surviving are 17 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren, the last one born on the day of her homegoing. Surviving sisters include, Eleanor Lillie, Jean Beere, Ruth Peters, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless dear friends. A former Pastors wife Marilyn and her husband served in churches from New Jersey to New York for almost 50 years. As a devoted wife, mother, and friend, she will be missed by all who knew loved her. As well as raising seven children, she opened her home and heart to countless people over the years and served along side her husband in ministry. "Well done, thou good and faithful servant...Enter into the Joy of your Lord." Matthew 25:21.
Funeral services will be held at the Coleman and Daniels Funeral Home, 300 E. Main St. Endicott, NY on Friday March 3, 2017 at 12 noon. A private viewing for family members will take place prior to the service. At a later date a memorial service will be held in Clinton Corners where she resided the last five years.
