Obituary of Sheri Jo Balschweit

Sheri Jo (Ely) Balschweit, 60, of Apalachin, passed away on March 24, 2017 with her family by her side. She was predeceased by her parents, Bill and Bev Ely; and brother, Lou Holbert. Sheri Jo is survived by her loving son, Brad (Katie) Balschweit; brothers, Chuck Holbert, Bill Jr. (Kathie) Ely, and Rich (Deanne) Ely; grandson, Ethan Balschweit; and several nieces and nephews. Sheri was an avid gardener with a delicate eye for crafting. She formed an incredible relationship with her furry champion- Schnooks. Sheri loved to laugh, and she valued all of the time spent with her loved ones. Her hair styling business allowed her to make numerous friendships, all in which she held very close to her heart. Sheri knew the importance of family and was a firm believer that family is everything. Her greatest accomplishment was her son, Bradley Doug. She couldn't be prouder of the man she raised and the father she watched him become. He will forever be her sunshine. Her most precious joy in life was her grandson, Ethan. She enjoyed watching him grow and looked forward to her Monday visits. To our Mom, Grandma, sister, and friend, you were taken from us way too soon. A Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, LLC, 6519 Route 434, Apalachin. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12 noon until the time of the service. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
