Obituary of Betty Jane Brown

Betty Jane (Hawkins) Brown, 90, of Apalachin, NY, went peacefully to be with the Lord on June 7, 2017. She was predeceased by her parents, Earl and Maude Hawkins; husband, Everett Brown; daughter, Cathy McDowell; brothers, Earl Hawkins, Jr. and Harry Hawkins; and sisters, Sandra Wright, Jaunita Youelis, Ceclia Lockwood, and Linda Hawkins. She is survived by her children, Susan Chamberlain of Owego, NY; Robert (Gail) Brown of Columbia, TN; and George (Barb) Brown of Apalachin, NY; sisters, Alice DeMann and Lavonne Vinson; and brothers, Gene Hawkins and Ed Hawkins. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at 6pm at South Owego Bible Church, 6150 Montrose Turnpike, Owego, NY with Pastor Greg Hall officiating.
