Obituary of Roger E. Barton

Roger Barton age 83 of Apalachin, passed at his home on June 12, 2017, surrounded by his family. He'll be joining his parents, Harold and Flora Barton, brother Richard and sister Virginia Steen. He is survived by Marian, his wife of 68 years. Sons, Rich (Tina) Barton, Kevin (Teresa) Barton, Gary (Sallie) Barton and daughter Karen Catlin (Frank). Seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews; brother Clifford Barton, sister Wanda Carroll.He served in the US Air Force for 4 years and worked for the Federal Government at GE for 31 years and was in charge of Riverside Cemetery in Apalachin where he volunteered for 21 years. Funeral services will be held Friday at 10:00a.m., from the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, LLC., 6519 State Route 434, Apalachin. Deacon Michael Donovan of Blessed Trinity Parish will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Apalachin with full Military Honors. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Thursday from 4-7p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society, 13 Beech Street, Johnson City, NY 13790.
