Obituary of Jane M. Sturdevant

Jane M. Sturdevant, May 2, 1948, age 69, of Binghamton, fought a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. With her loving husband of 27 years by her side, she peacefully went home to be with the Lord on June 17, 2017. She was predeceased by her parents, Jean & Elmer Turner of Apalachin, NY, grandparents, Harry & Mary Ellen Rider of Apalachin, NY. Jean is survived by her husband Stanley, one son, Christopher Ayers of Ossining, NY, sister, Maryellen Waite-Henry (husband) Jim, of Gassville, AR, and several nieces & nephews. Jane was a graduate of Owego Free Academy and enjoyed attending church and praying for others. She had many special friends that she played scrabble with and enjoyed many lunch dates and phone calls. A special thank you to all Broome Oncology and Willow Point Nursing Home staff for the wonderful care provided. Services will be held at First Church of Nazarene, 1282 Chenango St. Binghamton, NY on Thursday June 22, 2017 at 10 a.m., followed by a committal at Vestal Hills Memorial Park.
