Obituary of Donald C Williams
Donald C. Williams 92, passed away on July 10, 2017 at the NYS Veteran's Home in Oxford, NY. He was predeceased by parents John and Mary, three wives, Stella, Dorothy and Leona. He was also predeceased by 8 brothers and 5 sisters. He is survived by 9 children, Donald Williams, Mary Bogart, Richard (Lark) Williams, Lawrence (Nancy) Williams, Diana Quackenbush, Vivian (Ralph) Riveras, Travis Todd, Robin Todd, Ruth (John) Matyas and eight step children. Donald is also survived by 24 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, one brother and one sister and many nieces and nephews. Donald was a WWII Army Veteran he served in the first Calvary division with tanks in Japan. He joined the Carpenters Union in Massena NY in 1951, worked on the Robert Moses Power Dam and the Eisenhower Locks in Massena, NY. In the early 1960's he transferred to Binghamton, NY Carpenter's Union Local #281. The family wishes to extend their thanks and appreciation to the staff at the NYS Veteran's Home in Oxford for the excellent care given to Donald while he was a resident there. A graveside service will be held at Vestal Hills Memorial Park on Friday, July 28, 2017 at 1 pm. Pastor Tom Briggs officiating.
