Obituary of David P. Wallan

David P. Wallan, 50, passed away on July 14, 2017. David is predeased by his paternal grandparents Paul and Sophia "Agnes" Wallan and his maternal grandparents John and Angelina Signorelli as well as many aunts and uncles. He is survived by his loving wife Dena M. Wallan, his mother Angela Signorelli-Wallan and father Lawrence Wallan and sister-in-law Veronica DeSerio. Also surviving are several aunts, uncles, cousins, dear friends and his faithful furry companions Joseph and Sam. He was a dedicated member for over 15 years of the West Endicott Fire Department Hose Company #1 eventually earning the rank of Captain. He graduated from Union Endicott High School. He was the proud owner of M&D Lawn Service. David loved his occupation as did his customers when he would show up to their jobs. David had a flair with the older generation as he had an old soul. David was proud of his Italian heritage with recently joining the Son's of Italy Endicott - Duca Degli Abruzzi as well as his love of Italian bazaar's, also going to Italian markets with his wife. David also had a passionate love of racing. Over the years he worked on several teams leading them to victory. David was a very caring soul and touched many lives. He always wanted to do the right thing and help anyone that needed it. He will be deeply missed. Now he will make his mark in heaven and look over all he touched. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 20, 2107 from 3:00-6:00 p.m. at St Anthony's of Padua Church, 300 Odell Ave., Endicott with a mass following at 6:00p.m. David was very passionate with his volunteer fire fighting at the West Endicott Fire Department Hose Co #1 in lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in David's name may be made to West Endicott Fire Department Hose Co #1, 113 North Page Ave., Endicott, NY 13760.
