Obituary of Helen E Nabinger

Guest Book Helen E. Jones Nabinger Helen E. Jones Nabinger of Endicott 1/15/18 - 6/10/09 Helen E. Jones Nabinger, of Endicott and Pinellas Park, Fla. went to be with the Lord and her husband, Tracey Lawrence Nabinger, long-time Endicott Policeman and her sister, Florence Cuddy Nash on June 10, 2009. She is survived by her daughter, Donna K. Morrell Beach, husband, Harold; her son, Raymond E. Nabinger, wife, Mary Jane; her sister, Marion Bassett; grandchildren, Tim and Andrew (Lisa) Morrell, Kim (Scott) Brown and William (Linda) Nabinger; also her step-grandsons, Dustin, Matt and Brandon; all of her great-great-grandchildren and long-time loving best friend, Lawrence Eannetta and all of his family. Helen was born in Hawley, Pa. on a family farm that was flooded for the making of Lake Wallenpaupak in 1927. She worked as a teenager in the local Silk Mills moving to Fulton, NY when they closed. Later, having family living in Endicott, she moved there and met Dad and became very active in the community. She was a member of the Union Business Women, working many years in Baker's Dress Shop, The Deb Shoppe and Percy's Restaurant and served nearly 50 years on the Board of Elections. She was a member of the Eagles, life member of the VFW and also the American Legion Auxiliary holding all the chairs up through County Chairman, following Larry all the way, helping to establish the American Legion Post #1700 in West Endicott. The family would like to thank all of the Hospice family at Lourdes Hospital especially Linda, Jayenne, Heather, Sharon, Sarah and Sister Fred for all their help and loving care for all of us. Also, a special thanks to Margaret Brennan and Sue Grigor who helped us along the way. A Memorial Service for Helen will be held 1 p.m., Monday, June 15, 2009 at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, Inc., 300 East Main St., Endicott. The Rev. Edward J. Zandy, pastor of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church will officiate. Interment will be at the family's convenience. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Monday from 12 p.m. until service time at 1 p.m. Those wishing may make contributions in Helen's memory to the Lourdes Hospital Foundation Hospice Unit, 4102 Old Vestal Rd., Vestal, NY 13850.
