Obituary of Benjamin Charles Painter

Benjamin Painter, 86, of Whitney Point, passed away on September 10, 2017 at his home. He was predeceased by his parents and son Robert. He is survived by his wife Grace of 63 years, sisters, Roberta McFarland and Dawn Painter, his children, Cheryl, Laura and Beth, his grandchildren and great grandchildren, all loved and will miss his funny and caring personality. "Gentle Ben" was in the 82nd airborne and played taps. He worked and retired after 27 years from Vail-Ballou. Then part time at BC Lift helping others. The family will receive friends at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, LLC, 300 E. Main St. Endicott, on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12 noon. Burial with military honors will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the National Parkinson Foundation, 200 SE 1st St., Suite 800, Miami, FL 33131, in memory of Benjamin Painter.
