Obituary of Dorothy Agnes Bastiano

Dorothy Agnes Bastiano, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2017. She was 93. Dorothy was predeceased by her parents, Frank & Grace Reisert of Maybrook, NY; her baby sister; and her husband of 65 years, Richard Anthony Bastiano, D.D.S. of the Valley Dental Group of Endicott, NY; Forest Lake, PA; Port St. Lucie, FL; and Pompano Beach, FL. Dorothy was an avid golfer and a member of the En-Joie Golf Course for many years. She was a nurse during World War II and a world traveler. Dorothy also enjoyed skiing at Greek Peak, swimming, knitting, and volunteering at O.L.G.C. School and at local nursing homes. She was a devote Catholic and the family belonged to Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish of Endicott. She is survived by her children; Janice and husband Ronald Delles, Dr. Richard A. Bastiano and wife Debi, Anne Marie McGlochlin and husband Scott, and Nancy Dougan and husband Jeff. She was cherished by her grandchildren, Kelly Elliott and husband Dave, Lisa Cohen and husband Shauli, Andrew and Aaron Bastiano, Dustin McGlochlin, and Jared McGlochlin and wife Crystal. Dorothy had several great grandchildren, Ryan, Grace, and Blake Elliott, Ethan and Victor Bastiano, Kayla and Corey McGlochlin, and Ya'arah Cohen. The family wishes to thank, Valrie Collier, her sister, Brenda McDuffie, and Kiki Kapoukatis for the tender care our mother received over the past years. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at 12:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel, 701 W. Main St., Endicott. The Rev. Edward Zandy will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Friendsville, PA. The family will receive friends at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass.
