Obituary of Elizabeth A Boland
Elizabeth Ann Boland (Betty, Mimi} of Endwell, NY passed away on October 27, 2017 in Westminster, Colorado. She was predeceased by her husband L. Richard Boland, her son Richard J. Boland and her son-in-law Jack Cahill. She is survived by two daughters and son-in-laws, Kathi and Nino Muggeo, Endwell and Ann Cahill and Roger Gamble of Westminster, Colorado. Mimi is survived by her grandchildren, Dante and Emily Muggeo and Ashley Cahill, great-grandchildren Cecelia, Dante Jr., and Rosalie Elizabeth Muggeo. She is also survived by two special cousins, Kay Tompkins who was like a sister to her and Doris Schrimsher who was a source of comfort and strength to her and her daughters especially during her struggle with Alzheimer's. Betty had many special friends in her life, especially Bobby Hart and Jeanne Caprio and Jean Rusnak. She was born in Memphis Tennessee on October 19, 1931. She moved to New York when she was thirteen and met Dick soon after. They were high school sweethearts and married on October 20, 1951. She was a great mom and stayed home to raise her three children. Betty loved reading mystery books, playing cards with her bridge group, playing bingo, dancing and doing anything she could to help her children and grandchildren. Her favorite time of year was Christmas and she passed this love of the holiday to her children. She was full of love, kindness and laughter and will be missed by all that knew her. Betty was a member of Church of the Holy Family, Endwell. The family will receive friends on Monday November 6, 2017 from 4:00 to 6:00 at Coleman and Daniels Funeral Home, 300 East Main Street, Endicott. There will be a funeral mass at Church of the Holy Family on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at 11:00a.m. Interment will follow at Riverhurst Cemetery, E. Main Street, Endwell, NY.
