Obituary of Karen N. Avery

Endicott - Karen N. Avery, 73, went home to be with her Lord on December 24, 2017. At Mercy House in Endicott. Karen was born in Johnson City, NY to Keith and Lina Knapp. Karen worked for 39 years at Eureka as a tent stitcher. She was very active in the Moose Club. She was a member at West Endicott Baptist church and loved the fellowship with the people there. She enjoyed being with her sisters and did many crafts with them on a monthly basis. Karen is survived by her loving husband of 17 years John Avery. Her Children Billy McClain(Denise), Robin(Chuck)Collins, Debbie Deemie, Mark(Flo)Avery, Matt(Debbie)Avery, Russ(Lorie)Avery. Sisters - Lucille Roberts, Louise(Ray) Ellis, Jeanette Chernega, Paula(George)Hegedus, Melanie(Craig)Sullivan. Brothers - David Knapp, Richard(Melinda)Knapp. 19 Grandchildren and 19 Great Grandchildren. Also Aunt Joan. We would like to Thank the Service and Care mom received from the staff at The Mercy House and would ask in lieu of flowers please consider contributing to The Mercy House in Endicott. The family will receive friends from 5:00pm - 6:00pm on Friday December 29th at the West Endicott Baptist Church with a memorial at 6:00pm.
