My sincere condolences to the Kovalchick family. Averill was a great coworker and his departure has left a lasting emptiness at the office. We could always count on each other to discuss difficult issues, have a good laugh and in the end relieve the stress of work. I am missing that in a world without him.
He lived life to its fullest, was loved by many and lived a life without regrets. In the end, I believe these are things that we all strive for.
Let Averill live now in our memories as a jolly soul that enjoyed all that life had to offer.

When I met Averill his smile lit up the room and he had such a great personality that he will always be remembered. The Kovalchick family is very special and Sarann is one of my best friends, in spite of our age difference. She is an "old soul" and wise beyond her years. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family at this time as you have all suffered such a great loss. May God Bless You All!

Sandi, words cannot express how much Ave will be missed. You guys had the first bonfire I ever been to. Also the only one I've ever experienced in life. I spent the last few days replaying the visits I had at your home and Ave was always so welcoming, nice, funny, sweet and it hurts knowing you are hurting. I watched the video we made when he was telling me how to put the wood in the fire and hearing his voice in my head the last few days screaming Cucumber Lemonade brings a smile to my face. I will always remember him like this and his memory will live forever in my heart. I will always be there for you.

How do you let go of a person that felt like home? There are no words big enough, great enough or equivalent enough to describe what an astonishing and prodigious son, husband and friend this world lost. Ave was larger than life and his luminous aura was nothing less than contagious. He was a long time, dearly loved family friend and losing him has left a suffocating void. As heartbroken as I am, it is a drop of water in the ocean compared to what his amazing wife and wonderful family are feeling. My heart breaks even more for them, than for myself. It was an honor and a blessing to have him in my, and my family's lives. Ave, see you on the dark side of the moon.

Dear Sandi and all of Ave's family,
Our hearts are broken. Even as a Christian, it's hard to understand why. All we can hold onto is our faith and memories. Ave was an incredibly happy man. Every time we saw him, he was smiling and laughing. I've prayed all these years that my daughter would be as blessed to find such a wonderful man. He will always be in your hearts. Hold on to those memories. We are praying for all of you, and love you!

Dear Sandi, Nick, Shirley and family,
We were blessed to know Ave during his too-short life and extend our sincere sympathy to all. We'll always remember with fondness his great smile and the twinkle in his eye that told you he was always up to something fun or mischievous. The world lost a kind and gentle man, who will be greatly missed, but forever remembered for his joy of living and love for family and friends.
