Obituary of Patricia A. Price

Patricia A. Price (Pat), 84, of Vestal, NY died on January 10, 2018 at home surrounded by those who loved her. She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, William Ralph Price in 2015. She is survived by her daughters Susan Price, Boston, MA, Kathryn Price, Wellsboro, PA and Jacqueline (Robert) Bivona Guilderland, NY, son William Price (Eva Kochanski), Cambridge, MA, one much loved grandchild Christopher Bivona, and her beloved sister Jeanne Ellis (Matt), Mansfield, MA and their entire family. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Caul Thompson and sister Mary Alice Sorrell. Pat was born in Asbury, NJ on March 4th, 1933. Pat attended Binghamton Central High School and graduated in 1951. Above all, Pat was a loving and devoted wife, mom and grandmother (Nonnie). Pat and Ralph raised their family in Windsor, NY. Pat, along with her dear friend, Betty Brummer, opened and ran "The Calico Cutter", a gift shop, in Windsor for several years. Pat also worked as a legal secretary in her early years and after her children were grown. Pat loved to entertain and hosted many wonderful family gatherings on Grove Street. Pat's love of flowers and birds was known by all and appreciated by so many. Over the years there were many trips to New England with family and their good friends the Brummers and Spicers. In the end, without a doubt, it was mom's great kindness and strength that no one who met her could miss. Mom and dad are now "speeding safely" together on their new journey. The family expresses their deepest gratitude to Deb Bryan (Elder Life Options, LLC) and our incredible caregivers (Brenda, Janet & Suzanne). Friends are invited to celebrate Pat's life at Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home located at 300 E. Main St., Endicott, on Saturday, January 13th from 4:00-6:00 p.m. There will be a private burial at the family's convenience. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Pat's memory to the American Heart Association.
