Obituary of William Antalek
Endicott - William "Bill" Antalek, 91, of Endicott, NY, passed away peacefully Saturday, February 3, 2018, with his loving family by his side. He is predeceased by his parents, Steven & Agatha Antalek, 3 brothers and 3 sisters. He is also predeceased by his loving wife and mother of his 4 children, Veta Antalek, of 29 years and his 2nd wife, June. He is survived by his 2 daughters and 2 sons-in law, Nancy & (Gary) Schwartz, Kim & (Jeff) Angevine, his son, Michael "Mick" Antalek and daughter, Kelly Antalek. His 6 grandchildren, Cory & (Rachel) Angevine, Lindsay & (Kevin) Singer, Jessica Rees, Michael Schwartz, Emily Schwartz and Shawn & (Caroline) Antalek. His 4 great-grandchildren, Quinton Kipp, Nora and Greyson Singer and Chloe Antalek. Bill is a WWII Veteran, having served in Japan as a radio corresponder. He worked for EJs in the tannery for many years, PFC Construction, B&B TV and finally with IBM Corp for 20 years. He loved gardening, providing fresh fruits and vegetables for his family all year long, boating on the Finger Lakes, spending every available Sunday on Owasco Lake. Fishing was one of his passions and he placed First in the largemouth bass Genesee Beer Competition. Bill loved bowling and was a league bowler for many years. He also loved golf and enjoyed many rounds in his retirement. As a NY Mets fan, he made the front page of the B-Mets opening day. He will be greatly missed. His family will be welcoming family and friends Thursday, February 8th, at Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home,LLC 300 East Main Street, Endicott NY from 11:00 am until 12Noon with a service to follow at 12:00 noon. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Endicott in the Spring.
