Regret that I can't attend the funeral mass and extend my sympathies in person.
I remember Ray Ferraro mostly from the time I worked at the Job Service to screen and place applicants for on-the-job training. A highlight was our joint appearance on a local TV show to promote the Dislocated Worker program. (Ray was his usual unflappable self, while I was a bug-eyed bundle of nerves.)
Ray's dedication to the Department of Labor was carried on in his son Steve. I had the pleasure of working with Steve also, until my retirement from DOL.
My special condolences to Steve and Erin, and my sympathies to Ray's whole family and the many friends and colleagues who will miss him.
