Obituary of Patricia A Sparkes

Vestal - Patricia Ann Sparkes (Pat), 79, formerly of Greene, NY, New York City, Hackettstown, New Jersey and currently of Vestal, NY, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2018. Pat was predeceased by her parents, Pauline Hoag and Arthur (Sparkey) Sparkes, step fathers, Jack Moore and Fran Hoag, great nephew, Lon Huttleston. She is survived by her brother, Richard Huttleston and his wife Marian of Endicott, niece, Teri Brogdale of Endicott, nephew, Gary Huttleston and his wife Cindy of Aiken, SC, Lon's children, Connor, Ryan & Kenadee Huttleston of Endicott, a special cousin, Jeanne Lavelle of Endicott, numerous cousins, aunts and uncles and very close friends. Pat lived in NYC most of her life working for TWA and Avon Corp. and then later as a legal secretary for a law firm. She loved her cats and her only dog, Buddy. She enjoyed reading, drawing, painting rocks, feeding and watching birds and feeding countless homeless animals. She was an avid picture taker and loved sending them to friends and family. In her younger years she enjoyed traveling many places in country and abroad. The family would like to especially thank Susan Doris and the ladies at Reason Home of Open Hearts where Pat spent the last year of her life. They provided wonderful care and showed never ending compassion. Additionally, Willow Point Nursing Home S2 for the fantastic medical and emotional care. Pat will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her. Revelation 21:4 "He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away." Honoring Pat's request there will be no services. Burial and graveside services will take place in Sylvan Lawn Cemetery, Greene, NY in the Spring.
