Obituary of Mae B Potenzino
Mae B. Potenzino,87, of Vestal, passed away Tuesday March 13,2018 at home peacefully surrounded by her family. She was predeceased by her parents, Lawrence and Mae Holland, her husband of 65 years, Tony Potenzino, her brother Bill Holland, her sister, Ruby Applebee, and her son Robert Potenzino. She is survived by her brother, Larry (Marie) Holland, her sons Tony Potenzino Jr., Tom Potenzino, and Larry (Tami) Potenzino. Grandsons Brian (Beth) Potenzino, Robbie Potenzino and Trevor Potenzino, and great-grandchildren Kristi, Alex, and James. Mae was born and raised in Wilmington, North Carolina and met her husband Tony while he was in the Marine Corps. They came to Vestal after Tony's service to his Country. Mae loved ceramics and bowling, she was the secretary for her bowling league for many years. Mae's greatest achievement and passion was her family. She loved her sons, grandchildren, and great grandchildren so much that she would do anything for them that she could manage. Words cannot describe the affection that Mae had for her family. She was a superwoman that will be dearly missed. Special thank you to Theresa Maney for the love and care that she gave to Mae for the past two years. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday at 11:30AM at Our Lady of Sorrows Church,801 Main St, Vestal. Entombment will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the Church Friday from 10:30 AM until service time at 11:30AM.
