Obituary of Thomas E Lynch, Jr.

Vestal - Thomas E. Lynch Jr, 72 passed away on Monday, March 19, 2018 surrounded by his family at Lourdes Hospital in Binghamton. He was born at Lourdes Hospital on June 3rd, 1945 to Thomas and Lorraine Lynch. Tom grew up in Endwell, graduated from Maine-Endwell High School, and then moved to Vestal after he was married in 1966, Tom was married for 52 years to his best friend and high school sweetheart, Lavana (Ellis) Lynch. He is survived by Lavana and his 3 children and their spouses, Michelle and Greg Hayes, Joe and Noelle Lynch and Tommy and Karrie Lynch. Tom was a loving father and extremely proud Papa to his grandchildren, Eddie, Megan, Eric, Quinn and Arlo. Tom attended Broome Community College, then worked as a process engineer for IBM for his entire career doing work that he loved. In retirement, he enjoyed working on his cars, taking long drives, golfing and watching baseball. He was an avid corvette enthusiast. Tom was known for his never-ending sense of humor, which served him well through both good and bad times in life and also kept his family constantly entertained. Dad gave us so many memories, family stories and famous one-liners that will live on in our own families and forever keep him close. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 23rd from 4 to 6pm at Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, 765 Main Street, Vestal NY 13850. A funeral mass will be on Saturday at 10 am at Our Lady of Sorrows Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the Broome County Humane Society, P.O.
