He was predeceased by his parents, Judson and Mary Caprio and siblings, Margaret (Leo) Mooney, Joseph (Sue) Caprio, Louise Caprio, Thomas (Gladys) Caprio, and Claire (Jack) Rummer. Jack is survived by his wife of 66 years, Jeanne (Pennell) Caprio, daughters Julie (Paul) Cerasaro, Jill (Robert) Grencer, and son Jeffrey (Lisa) Caprio. Also surviving are his 12 great grandchildren. After graduating from U.E. High School, Jack joined the Air Force where he served his country proudly. After returning home from Maine, where he was stationed with his young bride, he joined IBM at Glendale as an electrical engineer and spent the next 14 years and made many life long friends. This is also where he honed his skills to eventually wire his entire house that he and Jean built on Bornt Hill Road and spent the next 43 years raising their family. The holidays, parties, and family gatherings there will hold cherished memories forever. Jack joined his childhood friend Johnny Hart in helping write for B.C. and The Wizard of Id for the next 40 plus years. He never felt like he was at work…more like he was going to hang out and have a great time with his best friend. Jack was actively involved in the Endicott Sertoma Club for many years and served as past Governor. His friendships there were strong and was evident by the many visits he had weekly from his good buddies, for which his family is eternally grateful. Jack was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend to so many. He never missed a game, concert, play, recital, graduation or parade that any of his grandchildren were involved in. Jack will be missed more than words can say by so many, but his character and life lessons will be with us forever.
