Obituary of Cora E Brown

Cora E. Brown, 86 of Apalachin, NY passed away April 14, 2018 at Vestal Park Nursing Facility after a brief illness. She was predeceased by her parents; Carl and Bessie DeLand, husband of 58 years; Frank H. Brown, son; William D. Brown and brother; James DeLand. Cora is survived by her children; Nancy Pierce, Eugene, OR, Pam and Ron Corson, Concord, NC, Chris and Judy Brown, Apalachin, NY, Wendy and Ted Blodgett, Binghamton, NY, Lisa and Jim Renda, Owego, NY, as well as daughter-in-law Maria Brown, Berkshire NY. She is also survived by; 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, with her 10th expected this summer, brother Jack and Arlene DeLand, Ypsilanti, MI and numerous nieces and nephews. A graduate of Vestal High School class of 49; Cora will fondly be remembered for her love of children and animals, sense of fairness, her generous heart, kind spirit as well as her molasses cookies which; were always enjoyed by family and friends. She was a gentle and beautiful woman who will be truly missed. In lieu of flowers, donations in Cora's name can be made to the charity of one's choice with suggestions of the Apalachin Fire Department, Animal Care Council, Humane Society or American Cancer Society.
