Obituary of Richard A. Savage

Vestal - Richard A. Savage, 71, of Vestal, on April 5, 2018, went home to be with his Lord and Savior. He was predeceased by his parents, Doris and Clarence Savage. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 ½ years, Gail Savage, five children; Erick (Christie) Pinney, Richard A. Savage, Jr., Ryan A. (Anita) Savage, Gretchen (Tim) Anderson, Gabrielle (John) Graham, eight grandchildren who he loved very much; Richard A. Savage III, Kailie Pinney, Victoria Savage, Ashley Savage, Daisy Anderson, Jasper Graham, Maxwell Savage, Jethro Graham. His siblings; Joyce Stewart, Jerry (Elaine) Savage, John (Linda) Savage, Marjorie (Dave) VanHart, Daryl (Wendy) Savage, and his many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Richard was a member of Calvary Baptist Tabernacle, Vestal, which he, his siblings and father helped build over 50 years ago. He served in the U.S. Army as a Green Beret in the 7th special forces ABN group at Fort Bragg, NC during the Vietnam War. His desire was that others may know the Lord Jesus Christ as their own personal Savior as he did. John 3:16. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 21st, at 3 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Tabernacle Church of Vestal, 729 Main St. Vestal, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Broome County Veterans Memorial Association, P.O. Box 694, Johnson City, NY 13790 in memory of Richard Savage.
