Obituary of William Hoffman

William John Hoffman Endwell - William John Hoffman (AKA Bill / Billy / Hoss / Papa / Grampy) of Endwell, NY passed away after a brief battle with cancer, on Wednesday, April 25, 2018, at the age of 64 years. Bill graduated from Clarkson University with a BS in Mechanical engineering. While on summer break in 1973, he met the love of his life, Peggy, in Syracuse, NY. They spent the rest of their college years together, and eventually made their way to Endicott, NY. He started his career at IBM, and worked in printer manufacturing for 36 years (IBM / Ricoh), before retiring in 2013. His greatest passion was his family, followed closely by golfing. In his final days, he talked about how excited he was to see the how great the golf courses would be in heaven. Bill will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 41 years, Peggy, his children, Nate (Michelle) Hoffman and Katie (Steve) Gardner, and his five grandchildren, Hazel, Madison, Lola, Grayson and Beckett. Bill was preceded by his parents Clarence and Margaret. A Memorial Service in memory of Bill will be held on Tuesday, May 1st, at 11:00 a.m., with calling hours starting at 10:00 a.m. at The Church of The Holy Family, 3600 Phyllis St, Endwell. Those who so desire may make memorial donations in memory of Bill to the Mercy House of the Southern Tier, 212 North McKinley Avenue, Endicott, NY 13760.
