Obituary of Mary Louise Robinson

Mary Louise (McDonough) Robinson of Endwell Mary Louise (McDonough) Robinson, 74, was called home by the Lord on July 12, 2009. She was a two-time cancer survivor, overcoming breast cancer and Multiple Myeloma. She received an adult stem cell transplant of her own cells and became an advocate for the use of adult stem cells. She fought a courageous battle and finally succumbed to Leukemia. Mary Lou grew up in Carbondale, PA where she met and married her loving and devoted husband of 51 years, Francis Robinson. Together they raised four children in Endwell, NY. Mary Lou worked in fashion for most of her adult life. She co-owned and operated a women's clothing store, Endwell Fashions, for 17 years. Other than fashion she enjoyed tennis, bridge and getting together with her family. Additionally, she enjoyed travel and lived in Singapore and Luxembourg for several years. She is survived by her husband, Francis Robinson; and four children and their spouses, Timothy and Judy Robinson of Portland, ME, Kim and John Majikes of Apex, NC, Wendy and Pat Dailey of Orion, MI and Joseph and Kim Robinson of Endwell, NY. She is also survived by her brother, Joseph McDonough of Tucson, AZ; and seven grandchildren, Kenneth, Jacob, Megan, Keri, Michael, Mark and Eirene. A Memorial Mass for Mary Lou will be offered at 10 a.m. Friday, July 17, 2009, at the Church of the Holy Family, 3600 Phyllis Street, Endwell, NY. Interment will follow at Riverhurst Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, July 16, 2009, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, Inc., 300 E. Main St., Endicott, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary Lou's name may be made to the Leukemia, Lymphoma & Multiple Myeloma Society, Central NY Chapter, 401 N. Salina St., Suite 304, Syracuse, NY 13203; or the Phelps Mansion Museum, 191 Court Street, Binghamton, NY 13901.
