Obituary of Betty Anne Tearpock

Elizabeth "Betty" Ann Tearpock, age 90, of Endicott, returned to the Lord peacefully on Friday, July 6th, 2018 at Ideal Skilled Nursing Center. She was born in Mocanaqua (Lee), Pennsylvania on November 11th, 1927 to the late Anna (Evan) and Charles Kobosko. In addition to her parents, her beloved husband, Vincent, her brother, Charles Kobosko and her sisters, Rose Marie Kobosko and Margaret Augustine, preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Dawson Kear and three sons, Thomas (Elizabeth), Jeffery (Marybeth) and Vincent (Tracy); her four sisters Christine Drury, Marianne Sivilich, Anna Castelli and Joanne Young; eleven grandchildren Kelly Dawson, Alex Dawson, Austin Kear, John Tearpock, Carolyn Sithong, Stephen, Joseph, Jeremy and Michael Tearpock, Caitlin Tearpock and Jamie Tearpock; family spouses, seven great grandchildren, many loving nieces and nephews and her special son-in-law Bill Dawson. Betty was a life long, devout member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church. She was actively involved in the Meals-on-Wheels program, fondly supported the Boys & Girls Club, and was the founder of the Widow and Widower's Group of Western Broome. She was a 25+ year weekly attendant of the Perpetual Adoration Chapel and, most recently, participated in weekly activities at the Broome West Senior Center (Endwell). Visitation with the family will be held at our Lady of Good Counsel on Saturday, July 14 at 9:30 am until 11:30AM A funeral Mass will follow at 11:30 AM.
