Obituary of Ethel M. Darpino

Ethel M. (Molyneaux) Darpino, 94, passed peacefully into the open arms of her Savior on August 17, 2018. She is survived by her loving husband of 70 years, Roy W. Darpino, and children Bill (Debby) Darpino, Val (Don) Spiegel, Ed (Nancy) Darpino, Teresa (Dan) O'Donnell, 13 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and many dear nieces and nephews. Ethel is pre-deceased by her parents, 8 siblings, and great-grandchild, Judah Darpino. Ethel enjoyed a life of caring for her children and extended family and faithfully served her church and spent countless hours in support of Ross Corners Christian Academy where her children attended. In later years, Roy & Ethel enjoyed wintering at their Lake Helen, Florida home spending time with their dear friends at Open Bible Baptist Church, where they faithfully attended. Some of her favorite pastimes were hunting with her family, quilting with her sisters and traveling the country with the love of her life. Her 70-year marriage to Roy was a true example of faith, strength, devotion and unconditional love which will continue to be a heritage to her family. The family wishes to thank the numerous medical personnel who cared for her over the years. In Lieu of flowers, please make donations to Ross Corners Christian Academy, 2101 Owego Road, Vestal, NY. A celebration of Ethel's life will be held Saturday, September 15, 2018 at South Apalachin Baptist Church, 4116 Pennsylvania Avenue, Apalachin, NY at 3:00 p.m.
