Obituary of Howard Crotsley

Howard S. Crotsley Howard S. Crotsley of Vestal, New York Howard S. Crotsley, 83, died Tuesday, August 4, 2009, at the home of his caregiver, Sherry Crotsley. He was predeceased by his wife of 60 years, Frances Crotsley; his daughter, Mary Ellen; and his brother, Walter Emmett Crotsley. He is survived by his children, Dennis Crotsley, Dale and Shirley Crotsley, Dan and Barb Crotsley, Tom and Sherry Crotsley, Mark and Sharon Crotsley, all of Vestal, Beth and Paul Pasquarello, Reading, PA; 16 Grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren; his sister, Sandra and David Bailey, IN; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was a member of our Lady of Sorrows Church, Vestal. Howard served in the US Navy, in the CBs, from 1944 - 1946. He retired after 40 years of service from IBM. The family would like to extend special thanks to Carol, every staff member, and all his friends at the Castle Gardens Senior Living Community for the past two years. Those who knew Howard best will always remember his outlook on life "the World according to Howard". A Funeral Mass celebrating Howard's life will be offered at 10:00 a.m. Thursday (today) at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 157 Clark Street, Vestal, New York. At the request of the family, there will be no calling hours. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations in Howard's memory, may be made to the Our Lady of Sorrows Youth Group, 157 Clark Street, Vestal, New York 13850; or to Lourdes Hospice, 4102 Old Vestal Road, Vestal, NY 13850.
